Build text, image, and video generation into products with Lato’s stable versioned API.
The Developer API gives your own product Lato text, image and video generation through a versioned HTTP contract at /api/v1. Create a named opmd_sk_ key with only the permissions it needs, keep it on your server, and send it as a bearer token. The quickstart makes a first text call to /messages, then covers /images, synchronous /videos and the usage metadata in each response.
The production guide adds an idempotency key on every POST (kept for 24 hours), stable error codes, RateLimit headers, request IDs to log, and the authenticated OpenAPI 3.1 spec and changelog for spotting deprecations early.
